Does my project use Premium Plan or Request quotas?

For Premium Plan projects, some Maps Platform APIs have two categories of quotas:

• Premium Plan
• Requests (Maps Platform)

If the project is an existing or former Premium Plan project, usage is subject only to Premium Plan quotas.  You can recognize a former Premium Plan project with the naming convention:

• Google Maps-<TYPE>
• Google Maps for Work-<TYPE>
• TYPE: [ INT, EXT, OEM, ASSET ]

A newly created project on Maps Platform uses Requests quotas.

Caution: For former Premium Plan projects, Client IDs are a valid way to authenticate requests and may still be used. Quotas explained above apply both to Client ID and API key usage. Note, the GMP Migration Guide states otherwise, but was accurate only at the time it was drafted.
