Welcome! To set up your new cloud billing account, we need some information and permission changes on your project(s).
Provide us your Google Accounts
Provide us with the email addresses for all Google accounts or groups that will need permission to use the billing account.
Think about developers and IT personnel who will create and manage projects. Also consider accounting and other personnel who may need to monitor spending and budgets.
We recommend you assign permissions to groups rather than individual users. See How should I manage Cloud Project ownership? for more details.
Provide us your Project IDs
Provide us with the project IDs for all projects to be billed through Woolpert.
Go to Cloud Resource Manager and copy the value(s) from the ID column.
If you are not already using Maps Platform, Get Started by creating a new project.
Add the Woolpert support group account to your projects
Add email@example.com as Project Viewer and Project Billing Manager roles for all projects. If Project Viewer is too permissive for your organization's security policy, we ask you minimally grant us Project Browser.
Project Viewer allows Woolpert to view but not edit any project resources.
Project Browser allows Woolpert to find the project by name or ID (see that it exists), but prevents Woolpert from being able to view or edit any project resources.
Project Billing Manager allows Woolpert to change the billing account used by the project.
- Navigate to the IAM page of the IAM & admin section of Cloud Console.
- On the IAM page, click ADD.
- In the Add members panel, enter firstname.lastname@example.org in the New members field.
- In the Select a role dropdown, select Project > Viewer. Click ADD ANOTHER ROLE and select Billing > Project Billing Manager.
- Click Save.
The permissions table for the project should now include a record for email@example.com.
Once you have granted Woolpert the Project Billing Manager role on your project(s), we will change the billing to invoice through our reseller account.
