How can I terminate all usage on a Google Cloud project?

Before terminating usage at the project level, consider controlling costs or limiting consumption by API.  If none of those options fit the bill, here are a couple of ways.

Disable billing

• Disabling billing maintains the project but prevents any new use of project APIs or resources

Shut down your project

• Shutting down a project releases all resources used within the project
• Only project owners can shut down or restore projects
